Trees, Trees, and More Trees !
Another week of challenging weather but work here continues!
We’re fencing off another stretch of land for woodland, containing a thicket of Hawthorn, Holly and Dogwood, and an associated shelter belt of Scots Pine and Douglas Fir.
This new area will be enjoyed particularly by brown hares and passerines (song birds).
This photo shows our 2015 woodland’s progress.
The new treeline will also act as a vital wind buffer from the North-West to shelter our Lavender, Rosemary and Mints.
