Butterflies Influx - Throwback to Summer 2019
Once every ten years, Scotland sees millions of painted lady butterflies arrive from the continent. We last saw such an influx in 2008 when approximately 11 million painted lady butterflies arrived in the UK.

Despite their delicate appearance, the insects can in fact travel up to 100 miles in a single day and reach speeds of up to 30 mph.

We were incredibly fortunate to welcome these extraordinary beings to our farm last summer.
